SUMMARY
The Housekeeper performs daily cleaning duties throughout the facility inaccordance with established safety and sanitation standards. This positionplays a key role in creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment forresidents, staff, and visitors.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Maintainassigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly condition. Tasks includebut are not limited to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, buffing,extracting, shampooing, polishing, disinfecting, deodorizing, and removingtrash.
Conductregular inspections of resident rooms and equipment to ensure cleanliness andsafety; report concerns or hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Directorof Environmental Services.
Identifyand report maintenance needs such as burnt-out lightbulbs, malfunctioning calllights, or equipment issues.
Coordinatehousekeeping tasks with other departments to minimize disruption to residentsschedules and routines. Participate in resident care planning when requested.
Monitorsupply levels in utility and janitorial closets; ensure equipment and serviceareas are kept clean and organized. Assist in lifting or moving heavy itemswhen needed.
Communicateprofessionally with coworkers, residents, families, and other departments.
Attendand participate in staff meetings, department in-services, and on-the-jobtraining as directed.
SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Previoushousekeeping experience is preferred.
LANGUAGESKILLS
Ability to read and understand safety rules, equipment instructions, andstandard operating procedures. Able to write simple reports and communicateclearly with coworkers and supervisors.
MATHEMATICALSKILLS
Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divideusing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute simple ratiosand percentages.
REASONINGABILITY
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed written orverbal instructions. Capable of responding to changing situations and adaptingroutines as needed.
PHYSICALDEMANDS
The physical requirements of this role include frequent standing, walking,bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing. Must be able to lift and/or move upto 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.Repetitive motions and twisting are common. Visual and sensory demands includeclose and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, andthe ability to adjust focus.
WORKENVIRONMENT
This role may involve exposure to fumes, cleaning chemicals, airborneparticles, wet or humid conditions, and outdoor weather. The noise level istypically moderate but may occasionally be loud. Reasonable accommodations willbe made for individuals with disabilities.
