POSITION OVERVIEW
The Prep Cook is responsible for supporting our culinary team with daily ingredient preparation, basic cooking, cafe item production, and baking assistance. This role supports both the restaurant and cafe operations, helping ensure our food is consistent, fresh, and ready for efficient service. Youll work in a clean, organized kitchen led by experienced chefs who value accountability, precision, and growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute prep tasks including vegetable breakdown, protein trimming, sauce and dressing production, and mise en place for the restaurant and cafe, depending on business needs.
Accurately follow prep sheets and recipes with a focus on consistency and efficiency.
Label, date, and store all items according to food safety regulations.
Assist with baking and pastry production.
Help set up and maintain the cafe prep station for daily lunch service.
Receive, organize, and properly store deliveries using proper food safety methods.
Maintain a clean and sanitary prep station and assist with kitchen cleaning duties.
Take direction well, communicate with the chef team, and contribute to a respectful team culture.
REQUIREMENTS
12 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic prep techniques.
Experience in cafe or bakery prep is a major plus.
Punctual, reliable, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $20.00)
