The Southwestern Research Station (SWRS) located in the rural community of Portal, Arizona is a non-profit biological field station owned by the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. We have been in operation since 1955. Our primary mission is to encourage and support biological research and conservation. We host researchers, students, workshop, courses and naturalists from around the world. Primarily we provide room and board, laboratory space, technical equipment and support facilities for those studying the extraordinary biodiversity of the Chiricahua Mountains and surrounding environments. SWRS is seeking a full-time Housekeeper, scheduled to work 5 days/week (40 hours/week). This position works onsite at the SWRS in Portal, Arizona.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning guest rooms, conference rooms and bathrooms.
- Running laundry.
- Occasionally, helping in the kitchen.
The expected salary for the Housekeeper is $40,040/annual. This position is overtime-eligible and the AMNH offers an extensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of our dedicated and diverse community.
Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience.
