Full Time Patient & Family Concierge - 10N/8W (GI Surgery/ENT)

UPMC Presbyterian is currently interviewing for a Full-Time Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) for our 10N/8W Units. Rotating, weekend, and holiday shifts will be required. The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate title and pay rate based on experience and education. The starting rate of pay for a PFC is $18.00/hr.

The PFC is responsible for providing generalized, compassionate service and support to patients, families, and visitors during their stay within the hospital. The PFC will be primarily focused on answering phones, transferring calls, assisting patients, families and staff. Assisting with bed flow of post operative patients and organizing charts for new patients, working with computer programs such as teletracking, cerner, responder5, medipac, word/excel, and any administrative or unit-based workflow needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors, ensuring they reach their destinations while maintaining confidentiality.
• Serve as a resource for hospital policies, visiting hours, directions, and more.
• Handle patient belongings tracking, parking validations, scooters, and meal tray delivery.
• Clean and organize patient rooms, public areas, and other spaces; replenish supplies and report maintenance needs.
• Manage and organize supplies, deliver materials to units, and monitor inventory and expiration dates.
• Answer phones, respond to patient call lights.
