SAGE Dining Services is seeking an experienced day Cook to join our team at a beautiful Easthampton boarding School. We are looking for a creative and passionate individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, executing an extensive and diverse menu for an amazing and equally diverse community.
A Day Cook at a boarding school is responsible for preparing and serving meals to students and staff, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. They work under the supervision of a kitchen manager or head cook, and may be involved in menu planning, inventory management, and special event catering.
Typical work schedule is Thursday & Friday 8- 5; Saturday, Sunday & Monday 6:15 am- 2:00 pm. Two consecutive days off a week.
Duties will include daily preparation and execution of breakfast and lunch, interacting directly with the student population at active grill stations during mealtimes, executing special events including plated meals and catered events, recipe development, assisting in creating and writing menus, and more!
