Job Description

Position Summary

Ready to spice up your career? Join our kitchen crew as a Part-Time Cook and help us whip up delicious meals for our hungry residents! You'll be the sous-chef's right-hand helper, creating culinary magic and ensuring our kitchen runs smoother than a perfectly blended sauce.

Your Tasty To-Do List

• Be the Cook's sidekick on the meal line - you're Robin to their Batman!
• Moonlight as a dining room superhero, swooping in to assist wait staff when needed.
• Become the Snack Master, preparing and distributing delicious nibbles and nourishments.
• Play Tetris with our deliveries, helping to receive and store them like a pro.
• Channel your inner neat freak and assist with clean-up duties - make that kitchen sparkle!
• Be the guardian of freshness, rotating items from the salad bar and refrigerators.
• Embrace your inner labeling artist - make sure everything's tagged and dated.
• Follow recipes like a kitchen detective, cracking the code of deliciousness.
• Be ready for surprise kitchen adventures - other duties may pop up!

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Experience

• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• At least three months experience in quantity food preparation in a health care facility or hospitability industry preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Stands, bends and moves continuously during working hours.
• May be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions.
• May interact with residents, family members, and visitors.
