Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled Welder/Fabricator Maintenance Technician to support our facility's operational readiness by performing a wide range of welding, fabrication, mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks. This role is responsible for fabricating metal components, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and supporting the overall upkeep of systems, facilities, and utilities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform welding and fabrication on parts, structural components, and production equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick preferred).
+ Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, calibrations, and service on machinery, pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and facility infrastructure.
+ Rebuild and clean production equipment including pumps, mixers, and other mechanical systems.
+ Perform minor electrical tasks such as installing outlets, switches, lights, and basic troubleshooting.
+ Execute plumbing work including copper pipe installation, threading, soldering, and fixture repairs.
+ Accurately enter and close work orders in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System); input equipment and PM data.
+ Maintain compliance with all FDA, SQF, OSHA, and company policies and safety regulations.
+ Complete maintenance documentation and equipment logbooks thoroughly and accurately.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow all SOPs and safety procedures.
+ Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and floor cleaning equipment as needed.
+ Work independently or collaboratively depending on task complexity; perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with welding using MIG, TIG, and stick.
+ Proficient in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair work on production equipment and HVAC systems.
+ Ability to document work through CMMS.
+ Experience with electrical and plumbing tasks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Vocational/technical training in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trades preferred.
+ 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with pumps, mixers, motors, and basic electrical work.
+ Proficiency in plumbing tasks and tools, including copper lines, ProPress, and threading.
+ Knowledge of welding and HVAC systems; experience in lean manufacturing a plus.
+ Familiarity with CMMS and preventive maintenance procedures.
+ Basic computer skills required.
+ Proficient in the use of hand & power tools.
+ Ability to handle physical workload and lift up to 50lbs.
