Duties and Responsibilities Operate your personal truck to safely transport required equipment to various customer locations in Carlsbad, CA and surrounding areas. Perform pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, vacuuming pools, and maintaining filters and pool surfaces. Test and balance water chemistry, including monitoring pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and hardness levels, and add chemicals as necessary according to safety guidelines. Maintain and clean pool circulation systems, including pumps, filters, heaters, and skimmers, ensuring optimal function. Identify and report structural issues, such as leaks or cracks, and recognize equipment malfunctions. Conduct minor repairs, including replacing light fittings, tightening connections, or sealing leaks. Manage inventory by stocking service vehicles with necessary chemicals, parts, and tools, and accurately tracking usage. Prepare service reports, maintain detailed customer records, and utilize company scheduling or time-tracking tools. Interact with customers in a professional manner, answer pool care questions, and offer maintenance advice as needed. Maintain company appearance standards, keep service vehicles clean, and adhere to all safety protocols at all times. Participate in training sessions and collaborate with the pool service team to deliver excellent service. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED required. At least one year of experience in pool cleaning, maintenance, or related service roles preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, as well as reliable transportation. Familiarity with water chemistry and best practices in pool care. Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to diagnose equipment problems and perform minor repairs. Ability to lift items weighing up to 50-100+ lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Comfortable handling pool chemicals safely and following established safety procedures.
