We're a friendly neighborhood bar withplex culinary-based cocktails, plus extensive whiskey and beer lists. We're unpretentious but knowledgeable, and while we offer many unique and thoughtful cocktails, rare whiskey and spirits, and hard-to-find craft beer, you can also get things like a $5 High Life and rye shotbo, well mixers, or a glass of wine. We discourage kids after 6 pm, don't take music requests, and aren't afraid to say no to things that alter our vibe or devalue our brand. We also honor our hours staying open until 1 am. We want to be a dependable late-night place in a neighborhood with few options, and we also serve food until last call. We will never be a 2 am bar, and closing duties are designed so staff should be able to leave within 20 minutes of closing.
We are looking for a bartender with knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer and wine. High volume experience is helpful, as is kitchen experience. At Dirty Laundry, bartenders also provide table service and make food. Our menu is extensive, but also designed for efficient service. Most of our cocktails are clarified/batched, and our food menu is limited to a handful of hot items that are either popped in the oven or a quick pan pick-up, as well as snacks served in baskets or bowls.
Our customer service approach is personable and knowledgeable, with an emphasis on guiding guest experience with rmendations and information, encouraging people to try new things and introducing them to drinks they might otherwise not know anything about or be scared to try.
Dependability is paramount as we are a small staff with solo hours/shifts. We work hard to amodate all needs for time off requested in advance, but rely on staff to consistently show for scheduled shifts. The ability to maintain high levels of cleanliness, as well as the ability to work quickly and efficiently while multi-tasking is also imperative.
Requirements:
Excellent understanding of hospitality etiquette
Ability to understand and execute proper steps of service
Reliable transportation and ability to be on-time
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to fast-paced high-volume shifts
Strong attention to detail
Commitment to honoring our strict no-drinking policy
Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs
Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
