About Us: Handsome Dan's is a new sandwich shop and grab & go market in East Austin, featuring an on-site brewery, sandwich shop, and retail space. Our unique concept brings together house-brewed craft beer, made-to-order sandwiches, and a curated selection of beer, merchandise, and to-go options. We offer quality beverages, quality ingredients, at approachable prices.

Position Overview:

Handsome Dans is searching for cool people who can:

Pour the perfect beer (and yes, you get to learn about all of them!)

Key Responsibilities:

Beer Service & Knowledge

Master our food and drink menu, including detailed knowledge of beverage styles, ingredients, and brewing processes

Provide educated rmendations based on customer preferences

Execute proper pouring techniques for different beer styles

Monitor draft system quality and report any issues

Assist with events when needed

F&B Service & Preparation

Maintain knowledge of ingredients, portions, and allergen information

Practice proper food handling and safety procedures

Keep station clean and well-stocked

Assist with daily prep lists and food inventory

Inventory & Retail

with inventory counts of kegs, bottles, and retail merchandise

Stock andanize retail area, including merchandise, to-go beers

Maintain proper rotation of perishable items

Process retail transactions and maintainanized display areas

General Duties

Process food and beverage orders through POS system

Handle credit transactions accurately

Maintain cleanliness throughout service areas

Monitor and enforce responsible alcohol service

Assist with special events and brewery functions

Complete opening and closing checklists

Requirements:

Previous serving experience is great but not required,we are happy to train the right individuals.

Valid alcohol service certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days)

Food handler's certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days)

Knowledge of beer styles and brewing processes, or strong desire to learn

Physical ability to:

Stand for extended periods

Lift up to 50 pounds (including kegs)

Handle repetitive motions for food prep

Available for flexible scheduling including weekends and events

Age 21 or older

Strong multitasking andanizational skills
