The Wheel is looking to add to their team with a part/full time Door/Barback!
We are looking for a new member to join our ever growinganization for Door/Barback of The Wheel. The Wheel is a unique blend of craft cocktails and volume bartending. An intimate bar atmosp with a beautiful patio and the capability to turn fast pace at any given hour of the day. The Wheel excels at providing a weing experience for their everyday regulars, as well as servicing those exciting corporate happy hours, pre and post Moody show meet-ups, and more.
Door postion duties include:
Greet guests at the door, and ensure they are over 21 years of age.
Operate with the front of house team to promote professionalism, teamwork, and guest satisfaction.
Assist bartenders in keeping areas stocked, as well as ensuring proper sanitation procedures throughout the venue as the shift progresses.
Ensuring the Points of Service Expectations (as laid out in the Bar Employee Handbook) are met.
Regular end of night duties such as proper closing procedures, sanitation upkeep, overall venue needs.
Door/Barback Requirements:
TABC / Food Handlers certified
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Problem solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays
Strong attention to detail andanizational abilities
The Wheel operates through a tip format
The Wheel is owned and operated by FBR Management which also operates: DuMonts Down Low, Gibson Street Bar, Lavaca Street Bar, Lala's Little Nugget, Lala's South Pole, Midnight Cowboy, Mean Eyed Cat, Dive Bar, Star Bar, Sign Bar, and Old Gregg Brewing Co.
