About Us:
Holiday is an award winning bar and restaurant from three longtime Austin industry veterans; Co-owners Erin Ashford and John DiCicco, along with Executive Chef Peter Klein. Holiday opened on East 7th St. in March 2023. The space is light, airy and filled with beautiful plants and design elements. Our warm and friendly service, spacious seating and expertly executed menu makes Holiday the ultimate getaway. We are open 6 days a week Tuesday-Sunday at 5pm-11pm, Thursday-Saturday 5pm-midnight. Closed Mondays.
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled and hospitality-driven bartenders to join our tight knit team. As a bartender, you will be responsible for executing cocktails (lots of martinis!) and serving food in a high volume, hospitality setting while providing guests with warm and knowledgeable service.
The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, a strong knowledge of cocktails, and a desire to provide skilled and empathetic service.
Compensation:
$8/hr plus tips
$17/hr training pay
Responsibilities:
Maintain a positive attitude while providing warm and friendly service.
Make a high volume of cocktails with precision, consistency and speed.
Work closely with coworkers creating a strong feel of teamwork and camaraderie.
Maintain a tidy andanized bar area, presentable to guests at all times.
Execute all daily bar duties thoroughly including opening/closing check lists, prep, cleaning, and restocking.
Work with a sense of urgency and efficiency.
Communicate respectfully and directly with management about needs and feedback within your position.
Work closely with the Chefs and kitchen team by sharing the space and ingredients necessary.
Ad to health and safety standards, TABC regulations andpany policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
Previous experience as a bartender at a reputable & cocktail heavy bar, restaurant, or hotel. (2 or more years of recent experience required)
In-depth knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, and cocktail techniques. Wine knowledge is a plus.
A passion for the bar as a whole, including serving guests, creating memorable experiences while building rapport, being resourceful, creating cocktails and working alongside different personalities.
Excellentmunication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with managers and coworkers.
Stronganizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, weekends (including Sundays), and holidays.
