13 celsius, named by Food & Wine Magazine as one of the best wine bars in the U.S. is looking for a new member of the kitchen BOH team. 13's food program highlights are: exquisite made-to-order cheese and charcuterie boards, delectable panini sandwiches, and seasonal inspired small plates. 13 celsius works with the best artisan ingredients from local purveyors like the Houston Dairymaids along with imported delicacies from Europe.
Details:
- This person must be available to work late nights and on weekends as our kitchen is open late night.
- This person should be presentable and have good people skills as the kitchen is open to the rest of the restaurant/bar and guest interaction is frequent.
- This position must also be a fast worker and know how to hustle when things get busy, which they do frequently.
-This position works solo and one on one with Chef, so being able to self-manage and read tickets to execute timely food orders is essential.
- Excellent knife skills, creative/artistic abilities, and previous food prep/line cook experience needed.
Set Schedule: (Full Time: 34-38 hours a week)
Thursday: 6pm-3am
Friday: 6pm-3am
Saturday: 6pm-3am
Sunday: 5pm-1am
Pay:
$16-$19/hour (average hourly rate plus nightly tip-out)
Experience:
Cooking: 2 years or Restaurant Experience: 2 years (Required)
