A new Texan-influenced Bistro looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our team!

About Us:

Le Calamar is a brand new restaurant from Rich Hargreave, Casey Wall, and Claudia Lee that takes elements of France and Texas, to create an inviting take on a neo bistro. We pride ourselves in developing relationships with our purveyors to obtain the best produce we can and to prepare them a sense of time and place. Our kitchen is a collaborative environment, w each team member plays a crucial role in maintaining the this vision of our cuisine. We are looking for a talented and driven line cook to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Job Description:

As a line cook you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to order, adhering to strict culinary standards and recipes, maintaining a clean andanized workstation, and following food safety protocols. You will collaborate with other kitchen staff, including the sous chef and Exec Chef Casey Wall to execute high-quality, precise dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

Cooking: Preparing and cooking the menu to order, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

Station Management:

Setting up and stocking the assigned station, maintaining cleanliness andanization throughout the shift.

Food Safety:

Adhering to food safety regulations and standards, including proper food handling and storage procedures. Exercising proper end of service kitchen clean up and maintenence.

Inventory Control:

Tracking inventory levels, reporting shortages, and assisting with food storage logs.

Collaboration:

Working effectively with other kitchen staff, following instructions from supervisors, and maintainingmunication with your team.

Dishes:

Preparing dishes according to recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Plating:

Preparing food for presentation, ensuring it meets the Chef's standards in terms of quality and consistency.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in cooking with charcoal preferred.

Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen health regulations.

Ability to follow directions,municate with other team members, ask questions when needed.

Excellentanizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently.

A collaborative team player with a passion for creativity and culinary excellence.

Strongmunication skills and the ability tomunicate daily with your Exec Chef and Sous Chef.

Experience in ordering, stocktaking, and managing inventory.

A passion for learning new skills and growing in a fine dining establishment.
