Front of House Cashier & Counter Service
Fairways Cantina is looking for a new staff member to join the team.
We're a small but mighty taqueria that services golfers and the localmunity alike.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a relaxed environment with some of the best margaritas and tacos in town.
We're looking for a full time member of staff (must have full availability) with 4 - 5 shifts expected each week.
Shifts will primarily be morning (6:30am - 2:30pm) or night (2:00pm to 10pm). Occasional banquet shifts will be available depending on event activity.
The position is remunerated via an hourly rate of $7.25 + Tips. We guarantee wages to a minimum of $17 up to $21, pursuant to promotions. We are a seasonal business being so closely tied to golf operations. In the warmer months staff exceed the guaranteed wage, during the winter it acts as a great buffer to the decline in business.
As an additional perk you will receive free golf at Morris Williams Golf Course!
Examples of daily tasks -
- Operate POS, navigate customer ordering and distribute prepared food using our buzzer system
- Maintain cleanliness and order on the floor of the restaurant. Regularly stepping out from the counter to clean tables, rearrange furniture and empty bus tubs.
- Stock, prepare and serve a range of alcoholic beverages.
- Perform open and closing duties thoroughly, working with colleagues to present the restaurant in its best light.
Previous experience within a golf clubanisation is a plus.
TABC & Texas Food Handlers certification required.
