Day Porter

St. Joan of Arc Church, Aberdeen, Maryland is seeking a Day Porter. This is a non-exempt position, working 25 hours per week and 10 months per year. The Day Porter is responsible for providing day-to-day cleaning and support services within the school and if needed throughout Parish facilities.

Essential Functions

• Empty all wastepaper receptacles and take trash to the dumpster.
• Spot clean all internal partition glass and entrance door glass free of smudges and fingerprints.
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains / water coolers.
• Vacuum all walk off mats and high traffic carpeted areas.
• Dust mop / vacuum and damp mop hard surface floor areas.
• Wipe/clean all conference room tables.
• Spot clean high touch points including doors, light switches and doorknobs.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Dust furniture and fixtures,
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Clean mirrors and windows.
• Restock consumable supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Knowledge of cleaning processes and techniques.
• Must be flexible and have a positive attitude to interact positively with a variety of people.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
• Adept at prioritizing work; able to meet deadlines.
• Must have a valid Maryland driver's license with no more than 3 points.
• Knowledge of safety standards for use of cleaning equipment and products preferred.

Range: $19.00, Hourly
