Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing the execution of banquet events, ensuring that all details are carried out according to client specifications and hotel standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee the setup, execution and breakdown of banquet events.
  • Ensure all event details are executed as per the BEO and client specifications.
  • Supervise and coordinate banquet staff; including servers, bartenders and housemen.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on service standards and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event hosts and clients during events.
  • Ensure space is set up correctly according to the BEO, including table arrangements, decorations, and AV equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of banquet spaces before, during and after events.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate F&B Service.
  • Assist in managing banquet budgets and expenses including controlling labor costs and proper banquet invoicing.
  • Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require bending, stooping, reaching and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
  • 2-3 years of experience in banquet or event management with previous supervisory experience.
  • Flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.


Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr. - $18.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
