CNP ASSISTANTS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The duties include but are not limited to:
Stores, prepares, and serves food.
Cleans work areas, utensils, equipment, and cafeteria facility.
Maintains required forms and records.
Follows system policies and standards on sanitation, personal grooming, dress, and safety.
Performs other duties as assigned by the principal and CNP manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have sufficient education to have basic skills in reading, writing, and math.
Must have a valid food handler's permit or ServSafe Certification.
Must have strength to lift and carry food items or objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
PREFERRED:
A high school graduate from a regionally accredited school, GED equivalent, or completion of an accredited job training program such as: Project SEARCH, Volunteers of America, AL Department of Rehabilitation Services, etc.
CUSTODIANS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The duties include but are not limited to:
Sweeping, mopping, buff floors.
Vacuuming and cleans rugs and carpet.
Empties trash baskets and garbage cans.
Replenishes paper supplies and hand soap in restrooms and classrooms.
Cleaning and disinfecting restroom.
Clean walls and windows.
Cleans and polishes brass and other metal work.
Set up rooms for meetings, conferences, and other events.
Pick up Paper.
Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment.
Report repairs of broken custodial equipment.
Enter work orders for repairs
These duties are general and will consist of other duties assigned by supervising administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have the ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.
Must have knowledge of cleaning materials.
Must be able to use and care for cleaning equipment.
Must have sufficient physical strength and ability to perform a variety of routine custodial tasks.
PREFERRED:
A high school graduate from a regionally accredited school, GED equivalent, or completion of an accredited job training program such as: Project SEARCH, Volunteers of America, AL Department of Rehabilitation Services, etc.
CLERKS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The duties include but are not limited to:
Performs usual office routines.
Maintains records, including student and attendance records, if required.
Answers office telephone, routes all incoming calls and responds appropriately to requests for information.
Receives, sorts, and delivers all incoming mail (MCPSS mail bag and U.S. Postal).
Acts as receptionist.
Maintains daily teacher attendance log and substitute employee work records.
Maintains log of visitors and sign-in/out roster of visitors.
Performs various related office duties as assigned.
Assists teachers in preparing instructional material, as required.
Maintains and submits service reports (local payroll records) on all employees, if assigned.
All other duties as assigned by the principal or supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a high school graduate from a regionally accredited school or have GED equivalent.
Must be computer knowledgeable with expertise in Windows, Excel, Word, WordPerfect, Access, Lotus, or other comparable or similar software.
Must have a high school transcript or GED and evidence of computer experience on application prior to application deadline to be considered for the position.
Salary Range: From/ToSee MCPSS Salary Matrix for hourly Substitute rates.

**Applicants selected for substitute positions must undergo an ABI/FBI criminal history background check (fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department) and be declared suitable and fit to teach under state law. Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.**
