Housekeeper -Brooklyn, NY (local candidtates only)

Full-Time Housekeeper Location: Brooklyn Heights, NY Schedule: 4 days/week (either Monday-Friday with one 0-hour day, or Tuesday-Friday with 8-hour days) 35-45 hours/week Compensation: $45/hour Healthcare stipend provided Paid Time Off: The position offers six weeks of paid vacation annually . Five weeks will be scheduled by the employer, including the entire month of July and the week of Christmas . One week is at the employee's discretion and can be taken at a mutually agreed-upon time. These terms will be clearly outlined in the work agreement. Position Overview A busy family in Brooklyn Heights is seeking a meticulous, proactive, and trustworthy full-time housekeeper to help maintain the cleanliness and organization of their home. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced in high-level housekeeping, and comfortable managing laundry, light cooking, and occasional errands. Key Responsibilities Housekeeping & Cleaning: Perform daily cleaning of all areas of the home including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and bathroom sanitation Maintain a clean and organized kitchen: wipe counters, cupboards, appliances, and empty/load the dishwasher Clean windows, windowsills, furniture, fixtures, and decorative objects Empty bins and manage household recycling Laundry & Linen Care: Wash, dry, iron, fold, and put away household laundry, towels, and bedding Change bed linens and refresh rooms as needed Ensure children's sports and school uniforms are clean and ready Organization: Maintain and organize storage areas Keep children's wardrobes and toys neatly arranged Restock and purchase household items or storage solutions in coordination with the parents Errands & Meal Support: Assist with grocery shopping, online orders, and dry cleaning Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks as needed Run occasional errands as requested Household Communication: Proactively report safety or maintenance concerns to the parents Collaborate with the family on priorities and daily/weekly tasks Qualifications: 3+ years of professional housekeeping experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and take initiative Comfortable with children and working in a family home Discreet, reliable, and proactive
