The Blackburn Inn and Conference Center is searching for a personable, friendly, and passionate individual to join our team as a Housekeeper/Room Attendant. As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel while providing guests with quality service in a timely and friendly manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Smile, have fun and be energetic!
  • General cleaning and upkeep of guestrooms and other assigned areas while adhering to safety and security procedures.
  • Changing linen and making beds.
  • Deep cleaning of bathrooms.
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Cleaning windows and balconies.
  • Retrieving and restocking the housekeeping carts according to standard housekeeping, safety, and security procedures.
  • Receiving assigned section, keys, supplies, and any priority room requests from the shift supervisor.
  • Turning in keys and unused supplies at the end of each shift.
  • Responding to guest requests and reporting guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Properly storing any lost items and reporting any damage or maintenance problems to the shift supervisor.
  • Working with a variety of different cleaning products and understanding their use.
  • Assisting in a lobby attendant, laundry or in a house-person role, as requested.
  • Participating in quarterly deep cleaning efforts or as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Must possess strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform basic duties in an efficient manner.
  • Customer-oriented approach and patience.
  • Responsible and trustworthy.
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work productively with other associates as part of a team.
  • Ability to work without constant, direct supervision.
  • Ability to work a flexible work week including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous housekeeping, hotel or cleaning experience is a plus!

Pay rate: starts at $14.50 /hr. Rate is flexible depending on previous experience. Full time hours available.
