Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Setting up dish station on arrival (three compartments properly filled, bus tubs arranged, floor mats and rubber mats put out in prep and dish areas)
  • Keeping all kitchen and dining room dishes and glassware clean and properly put away
  • Maintaining dish machines and making sure all chemicals are full. All machines, drains, and catch trays need to be sprayed out and cleaned twice daily
  • Taking out any trash in the main kitchen, dish areas, and staff break room as it is full
  • Cleaning the staff break room: removing and washing any dirty dishes, removing any leftover food from the previous meal period, taking out the trash and relining the trash can, ensuring that the warming cabinet is clean inside and out, stocking table turners/cleaning supplies to the breakroom, returning cleaned staff cafeteria plates, glasses and silverware to the breakroom.
  • Removing dirty in-room-dining dishes from the elevator and washing them. Includes, trays, trash and glass ware. Replace full glass racks with empty ones of the same kind.
  • Assisting in the set-up and break-down of banquet events.
  • Weekly deep cleaning projects as directed.
  • Scheduled maintenance and cleaning of all floor drains
  • Prep projects and any other miscellaneous cleaning projects as directed by your manager.
  • All other duties as requested by leadership

Knowledge/ Skills

  • No experience necessary
  • Willingness to work in hot, humid environment
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment/Conditions

  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office
  • Must be able to cope with frequent changes of priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration
  • Must be able to work safely in a kitchen environment with high temperatures and humidity
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
  • Flexible scheduling including holidays/weekends

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
