Registration Clerk

The Registration Clerk interviews patients or their representative to obtain demographic, personal and financial information.#Ensures that the patient information is collected and accurately entered into the hospital computer system. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Participates in performance improvement.#Answers and directs all phone calls in an efficient and courteous manner. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.#May be expected to work varying hours including holidays, weekends and on call rotation. The Registration Clerk will cross-train as a Patient Liaison. # QUALIFICATIONS # EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED preferred. LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION: None EXPERIENCE: Related job experience preferred. Ability to type 35 wpm Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel) Outstanding customer service skills Excellent verbal / written communication skills.

EDUCATION:
