Full-time Permanent Custodian

The Custodian is responsible for general housekeeping, and, minor maintenance of the buildings, grounds, and other duties as assigned.

Duties may include but are not limited to moving equipment and furniture as necessary. Provide floor care including stripping and waxing, buffing, and dust mopping, damp mopping and carpet care as scheduled. Clean the buildings, including offices, hallways, meeting rooms, and classrooms. Clean, sanitize, and restock the restrooms. Remove the trash in the buildings and deposit it into a container for removal from campus.

Working hours: Monday - Friday; 6:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.

Salary: $2,600.00 per month.

Starting date: August 11, 2025.

Closing date: July 31, 2025, or open until filled.

High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a valid NC Driver's License within 60 days of employment and be insurable at standard rate. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, grasp, reach, and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to use various cleaning agents to include floor wax, cleaner, and disinfectant.Official transcripts, including other documentation verifying all reported educational qualifications, are required. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for application purposes. The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.
