Job Details At Buttercup, you will be responsible for maintaining an organized and clean kitchen by following Buttercup service standards. The dishwasher plays a crucial role in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly for the success of service and guest satisfaction. In addition, a dishwasher assists with food preparation tasks and follows the direction of kitchen management to plan, organize and prepare the kitchen for service. Main Duties:
- Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and store all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area and back-of-house spaces.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing simple dishes
- Stock and restock kitchen stations with necessary supplies
- Help maintain proper food storage and rotation practices
- Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a similar capacity
- Maintain a sharp, neatly-groomed and polished appearance at all times
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules across seven days, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about food service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy with a sense of urgency
- Thrive in elevated, fast-paced environments and maintain a calm professional demeanor, effectively problem solving under pressure
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects
- Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat
