Description
Substitute Custodians Needed for the Brentwood Borough School District and the 2025-2026 School Year.
Candidates should be flexible enough to work at any of the schools in the district. These are day-to-day substitute positions. If the candidate is already working, these positions are often flexible enough to supplement the candidate's schedule.
Full-time work is often available, especially if the candidate is open to working in other nearby school districts, including the West Jefferson Hills or West Mifflin Area School Districts. (In the unlikely event the candidate is not seeing enough work in one district, the candidate's schedule can often be filled in with shifts in another district. However, the school districts do not offer overtime.) Some positions may be considered "temp-to-hire" as the district may look to hire some candidates on a full-time basis. Custodian hours are typically second shift between the hours of 2:30pm -11:30pm during the school year, however, there are some daylight shifts that may become available from time to time. It is preferred the qualified candidate has reliable transportation as most schools in the district are not easily accessible by bus. All interested individuals should have some experience.
Custodians - $14 - $18.20 per hour, depending on the district
Clearances required within the last year:
PA Criminal ground Check
PA Child Abuse Clearance
FBI fingerprints through the Dept. of Education
Act 126 Clearance (online Mandated Reporter training)
Arrest/Conviction Record form (Act 24) and Act 168 clearance (Precision will provide these forms for the candidates to complete)
Pre-employment physical and TB test required (neither should be more than 1 year old)

Must have either a HS diploma or GED
It is preferred candidates have some experience in custodial/janitorial work, cleaning, hotel/housekeeping, etc.
