BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER
Fellowship Village - Basking Ridge, NJPlant Ops /Full-Time /On-Site
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual to assist with the daily upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of our building and campus, helping to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one on one attention to the detail.
Performs minor repairs to doors, fixtures, furniture.
Reads and records information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Regularly replaces air-filters in HVAC systems.
Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
Moves heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Mows and trims lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris.
Notifies managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Removes snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.
Sets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.
Drive vehicles required to perform work.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
High School or combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
Valid Non-CDL Class C Driver's License may be required.
$21 - $22 an hour
