We are seeking a dynamic Coffee Shop Barista to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit. Responsibilities- Greet every guest promptly with a smile and maintain eye contact
- Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
- Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
- Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotels standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
- Demonstrate advanced understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.
- Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically communicate guest orders
- Demonstrate exert proficiency in barista work and all coffee and tea-related subject matter
- Responsible for receiving payment for all items ordered, correct cash handling and gratuity distribution
- Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
- Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
- Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
- Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
- Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
