Job Description:
Twin Farms is seeking 1 farm hands for the 2025 season (July-October). This position will work alongside the chefs and groundskeeper to operate a small restaurant garden and maintain common grounds and flower gardens on the sprawling Twin Farms estate in Barnard, VT.
An ideal candidate would possess the following skills + traits:
- Some experience in vegetable + flower production
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform tasks that may require kneeling, bending, squatting, etc.
- Ability to work efficiently in all conditions
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks
- Attention to detail
- Most importantly- good communications skills, the ability to adapt as things come up, and a curiosity for what is possible
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assistance with all facets of vegetable and cut flower production- bed prep, planting, weeding, harvesting, wash/pack, delivery to kitchen, etc.
- Assistance with pest and disease management
