Nine is seeking to hire a passionate, motivated, professional Pastry Chef who is eager to learn. Role Overview:
As Pastry Chef, you will oversee all aspects of pastry, dessert, and bread production, from conception to execution. You will bring a disciplined approach to technique, an eye for elegance, and a palate for balance and innovation. Working closely with the Chef de Cuisine and front-of-house team, you will design plated desserts and bread programs that align seamlessly with our tasting menus, a la carte offerings, and special events.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute a seasonally inspired dessert menu that reflects the identity and standards of our establishment.
Lead and manage the pastry team with clarity, mentorship, and a commitment to excellence.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and mise en place in the pastry kitchen.
Innovate new dishes and presentations that elevate the guest experience while maintaining classical foundations.
Oversee inventory, sourcing, and quality assurance for all pastry and baking needs.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a fine dining pastry environment.
Strong foundation in classic French and modern pastry techniques, with an ability to evolve and refine them.
Meticulous attention to detail, flavor balance, texture, and presentation.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to train and inspire a small, focused team.
Culinary or pastry arts degree preferred.
