Age and Legal Compliance: Must meet the minimum legal drinking age and have a thorough understanding of and adherence to all state and local laws regarding alcohol service, including checking IDs and responsible serving practices
Mixology and Drink Knowledge: Proficiency in preparing a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails, popular mixed drinks, and an understanding of different spirits, beers, wines, and their characteristics. The ability to learn new recipes and potentially create original ones is a plus.
Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers, take orders accurately, make recommendations, handle inquiries and complaints professionally, and create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to encourage repeat business.
Cash Handling and POS Proficiency: Ability to accurately process cash, credit card transactions, operate a Point of Sale (POS) system, and manage a cash drawer with precision, including daily reporting and balancing.
Multi-tasking and Time Management: Capability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple orders, customers, and tasks simultaneously without sacrificing quality of service.
Physical Stamina and Strength: Ability to stand for extended periods (often 8+ hours), lift and carry cases of liquor, beer, and other bar supplies (up to 50 pounds), and perform repetitive movements.
Cleanliness and Organization: Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area, including glassware, tools, equipment, and storage. This also includes proper inventory management and restocking supplies.
Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring ingredients, garnishing drinks, and ensuring consistency in drink preparation and presentation. Also, being observant of customers to identify those who may be underage or over-intoxicated.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to calmly and effectively handle challenging situations, such as intoxicated patrons, difficult customers, or unexpected issues, while adhering to company policy and legal guidelines.
Teamwork and Professionalism: Ability to collaborate effectively with other bar staff, servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($9.00 - $12.00) plus tips
