On-Call BARTENDER - Cocktail Showstopper
Were looking for a skilled, service-minded bartender who can bring style, substance, and storytelling to the bar at Witherby.
You Are:
Experienced behind the bar - this is not an entry-level position.
Passionate about spirits, technique, and hospitality.
Confident and composed under pressure.
Able to balance pace with polish.
A performer in your own right. Engaging, attentive, and in control of your bar.
Ready to work in a setting that values craftsmanship, connection, and character.
This Role Includes:
Creating classic and contemporary cocktails with care.
Telling the stories behind spirits, wines, and ingredients.
Providing a memorable guest experience from start to finish.
Managing bar setup, breakdown, cleanliness.
Collaborating with the team to deliver seamless, high-standard service.
A background in speakeasy-style service, boutique hospitality, or craft mixology is a plus. We want someone who can bring a bit of flair without losing the fundamentals.
HOST / HOSTESS - Our Front-of-House Concierge
Were looking for a polished, personable, and proactive host or hostess to be the first impression of Witherby.
You Are:
Warm, welcoming, and composed under pressure
A natural at navigating guest needs, flow, and reservations
Reliable, organized, and calm
Excited to share the history and spirit of Witherby
This Role Includes:
Managing OpenTable & Yelp reservation systems and coordinating walk-in diners.
Greeting, seating, and shaping the guest experience
Supporting the front-of-house team with clear communication and assisting with service needs including bussing and running as needed.
Light phone and guest services coordination
This is not just a podium job. This is a chance to play host in a beautifully restored, historic setting and contribute to the storytelling of a San Diego legacy.
