Poised to be one of the most anticipated openings of 2025, this new concept will redefine fine dining in LA through innovation, elegance, and hospitality at the highest level. We are building an extraordinary team to launch this landmark projectand are seeking a passionate, polished, and deeply knowledgeable Sommelier to help bring it to life.
As Sommelier, you will be a key voice in guiding guests through a world-class wine experience. Working in concert with the Chefs vision and the beverage director, you will deliver thoughtful, elegant pairings and personalized recommendations that enhance the guest journey and reflect a profound respect for terroir, history, and craft.
Position Summary:
The Sommelier is responsible for executing an elevated wine service program with precision, grace, and generosity. With a foundation rooted in classic wine knowledge and a curiosity for discovery, you will be the face of our wine philosophyengaging guests, supporting the service team, and ensuring that every pairing and pour upholds the restaurants uncompromising standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute wine service with elegance, consistency, and deep product knowledge across all tables
- Provide thoughtful, intuitive recommendations and pairings based on guest preferences, dietary considerations, and menu selections
- Maintain a mastery of the full wine list, including rare, allocated, and emerging producers
- Participate in ongoing staff education, training captains and assistant servers in wine knowledge, service mechanics, and pairings
- Uphold proper storage, cellar maintenance, and inventory controls in collaboration with the beverage director
- Maintain accurate vintage and bin updates in POS systems and printed materials
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless pacing and harmony between food and beverage
- Uphold and model our core values of respect, hospitality, creativity, and excellence
- Be a brand ambassador, embodying elegance, finesse and innovation
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a sommelier or wine steward in a Michelin-level or fine dining restaurant
- Strong knowledge of classic wine regions, producers, varietals, and pairing theory
- A genuine love for hospitality and guest engagement, with the ability to read and adapt to guest needs
- Certified Sommelier (CMS, WSET, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and table-side service skills
- Available nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
