Under general supervision, the Janitor is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the community per established policies, procedures, Company standards of quality, cleanliness, resident satisfaction, safety and security and regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrates and promotes service excellence and patient confidentiality at all times. As a representative and team member of environmental services department, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.
Hourly Range: $15.00 to $18.50
Hours: Full-Time Sunday - Thursday 06:30am-04:00pm
To be successful in this role, you would have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year previous janitorial/custodial or housekeeping experience preferred.
- A valid Drivers License (position drives golf cart around property)
Typical responsibilities:
- Strips, seals, waxes and buffs floor surfaces and performs daily floor maintenance; cleans and shampoos carpets;
- May clean common areas, including public restrooms, elevators, offices, public rooms, beauty salon, resident and employee lounges; dusts, sanitizes and scrubs;
- Empties trash receptacles; may deposit recyclable material in proper receptacles; picks up trash and keeps exterior perimeter clean;
- Takes note of safety concerns and needed repairs; performs repairs or reports to supervisor;
- Pushes a utility cart or drives an electric cart in order to transport tools, materials, supplies and equipment; may assist residents with moving;
- Cleans and washes wheelchairs and furniture;
- Cleans or picks-up accidents in interior or building;
- May fix drapery rods and/or wash windows, depending on CCRC;
- Perform event set-ups and tear-downs
- Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the facility safety program;
- Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests and co-workers;
- Promotes and protects the rights of each resident;
- Performs other related work as required.
- Must have a valid Drivers License.
