un Groundskeeper compensation: 13 Groundskeeper Job Responsibilities: Maintain a safe facility by policing grounds, walks, and parking lots, and taking appropriate action when hazards exist. Provide lawn care; cut grass, remove debris, edge, seed, mulch. Use lawn care equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Maintain and repair lawn care equipment. Care for plants, flowers, trees, and bushes to include seasonal upkeep such as pruning, watering, removing weeds, etc. Maintain irrigation system, if applicable. Keep sidewalks and steps clear of snow and ice; record actions on sweep sheets. Maintain outdoor lighting, replacing bulbs when needed. Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems, or unusual matters of significance. Bring these items to his/her attention to allow prompt corrective action, when appropriate. Report all suspicious persons, actions, or hazardous conditions. All other duties as assigned.
