Job Description
Evening Custodian - Dell Rapids Middle School
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Evening Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our students and staff at Dell Rapids Middle School!
Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, hallways, offices, and other designated areas.
Dust/sanitize furniture, desks, and other surfaces.
Empty trash cans and replace liners.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including restocking supplies.
Vacuum carpets and upholstery.
Wash windows, glass doors, and walls.
Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment.
Secure the building by locking all doors and windows at the end of the shift.
Perform other cleaning duties as assigned.
Help complete snow/ice removal when necessary.
Clean up after activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working in a custodial or cleaning role.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Reliable transportation and availability to work evenings and weekends.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
