Youll play a key role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for patients, staff, and catered eventswhile ensuring safety, flavor, and efficiency at every turn.

What You'll Do:

• Review menus and prep ingredients for daily food service
• Follow standardized recipes and tallies to produce consistent, cost-effective meals
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen lead to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Prepare meals that meet therapeutic diet requirements and allergy restrictions
• Safely handle food, equipment, and knives using HACCP and sanitation protocols
• Lead kitchen operations in the absence of leadership
• Complete daily production logs and ensure OPI (Office of Public Instruction) compliance
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces and equipment
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments to meet service goals

What You Bring:

• Required: 5 years of high-volume food production experience (or 7 years equivalent with approval)
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED
• Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen equipment, and cooking techniques
• Experience with therapeutic diets, recipe conversions, and inventory systems (FIFO, HACCP)
• Proven leadership, communication, and teamwork skills

Certifications:

• Required within 90 days of hire: ServSafe Manager Certification or CPFM
