Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and customer service-oriented Houseperson to join our team.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following\:

· With personal commitment and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality, make the most positive impact on guest experiences throughout all aspects of their stay.

· Communicate with internal colleagues to advise on and attend to all guest service needs and items requiring maintenance in a prompt and proactive manner.

· Clean and maintain public restrooms and public areas including upper and lower lobby, function spaces, back-of-house and other assigned work areas within the hotel and its surroundings.

· Assist in the receiving of Housekeeping stock and prepare and maintain Housekeeping storage areas to company standards of cleanliness and safety.

· Remove waste collected by Room Attendants from service areas.

· Deliver towels, toiletries, cribs, roll-away beds and other requested items to guest rooms as required.

· Pick up clean linens and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry as required.

· Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and shampoo machine.

· Assist in the cleaning of guest rooms and other special projects as required.

· Collect soiled linen for laundering and assist in laundry area.

· Assist Room Attendants with moving heavy furniture items.

· Complete deep cleaning tasks as assigned such as sweeping, mopping floors and washing windows.

· Report missing/found articles, defects/damage or merchandise issues to management.

· Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required.

Hourly wage is at $30.97.

· This position has physical demands including the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

· Minimum 2 years previous work experience in a similar capacity is preferred

· Demonstrated understanding for luxury hotel standards of service is required

· Flexible availability - this role will require work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed

Visa Requirements\: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
