We are seeking a diligent and reliable General Cleaner to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus for our students, faculty, and staff.
Job Summary:
The General Cleaner is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. This position is crucial to ensuring our campus facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general cleaning duties throughout the school campus, including academic buildings, dormitories, and administrative offices.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize all common areas, including lounges, hallways, and entryways.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, and restock supplies as needed.
Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from all designated areas.
Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is preferred but not required.
Ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay of $14.00 per hour.
