SAGE Dining Services is currently seeking a talented and experienced Lead Cook/Sous Chef to join our team at a beautiful private school in Bethesda, MD. We are conveniently located near Walter Reed Hospital and NIH, offering a vibrant culinary environment in a prestigious setting.

As a Lead Cook/Sous Chef, you will be responsible for preparing food in batches according to established recipes and standards, operating and managing various kitchen stations efficiently, and assisting with catering events to ensure high-quality service and presentation. You will lead the kitchen team in delivering meals promptly while adhering to SAGE Dining Services guidelines and coordinating food orders, including produce and bread, to maintain inventory and freshness.

To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience as a lead cook or sous chef, preferably in a school or institutional setting, with strong batch cooking skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Excellent organizational and leadership skills are essential to oversee kitchen operations, along with knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
