Janitor ($20/hr.) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. This role involves performing janitorial duties within a manufacturing plant, and requires flexibility for an 8-hour shift that starts between 5am and 7am. This is a contract-to-hire position, lasting 18 weeks. Responsibilities Perform janitorial duties within a manufacturing plant. Responsible for sweeping, cleaning, and scrubbing shop floors. **Majority of the shift** Operate tow motor. Dust, sweep, and wash floors and windows. Handle trash removal. Operate vacuums, auto scrubbers, ladders, snow blowers, and pressure washers. Lift up to 50 lbs. Assist in facility repairs and maintenance. Utilize various tools. Follow instructions and checklists for daily tasks. Clean restrooms and locker rooms. Dispose of chemicals safely. Clean cafeteria and refrigerators. Conduct outdoor maintenance, including sweeping parking lots, picking up trash, snow removal, spreading salt, weed removal, and pressure washing. Engage in physical tasks, such as climbing stairs and ladders, and working outdoors in various elements. Essential Skills At least 1 year of janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work in a graphite environment. Willingness to train and become certified on a tow motor. Capability to work with chemicals. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with industrial cleaning. Ability to operate a forklift and floor scrubber. Steel toe boots required. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
