Annual Salary: $38,127.70
Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Must be willing and able to be on-call and/or work a schedule that is inclusive of weekends and holidays.
- Able to lift 75 - 100 pounds without assistance.
- One (1) year of experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, electrical, plumbing or mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
- Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings
- Valid Driver License.
- Successful completion of the employment screening process to include, but not limited to, a national background investigation and drug test.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Knowledge of AHCA Life Safety Procedures for an LTC facility
- Able to read and understand ASBUILDS (blueprints)
- High School diploma or equivalent
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/EXPECTATION:
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Utilities and Maintenance Superintendent. The duties and responsibilities include:
- Repair and maintenance of the physical plant, property, equipment and mechanical systems of the State Veterans Home.
- Assisting to ensure a safe environment exists in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of the buildings do not deteriorate.
- Provides routine repair services to defective equipment, repairs physical plant deficiencies, resolves routine work orders, assists with the assembly, delivery and installation of facility equipment.
- Documents actions and outcomes of preventative maintenance efforts, repair services and other routine actions to assist the Maintenance Superintendent in maintenance of a concise record of services rendered.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, assists the Maintenance Superintendent with maintaining a focus on safety and accident prevention throughout the facility.
- Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
