Mercadito is currently seeking a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Busser to join our Front of House team.

Opened in 2010, Mercadito made a splash in Chicagos River North neighborhood at 108 W. Kinzie St. with a vision to deliver elevated, authentic Mexican cuisine alongside expertly crafted tequila and mezcal cocktails.

Voted one of the top Mexican restaurants in Chicago, Mercadito is known for its vibrant flavors, seasonal guacamoles, and fresh, made-from-scratch ingredients including our handmade tortillas and signature salsas. Our dining room and bar offer a lively and fast-paced atmosphere where teamwork and hospitality are key.

• Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently

• Assist servers in maintaining a smooth and clean dining experience for guests

• Support the service team by refilling water, replacing silverware, and helping run food as needed

• Maintain cleanliness in service stations, dining areas, and restrooms

• Sweep, mop, and organize front-of-house spaces during and after shifts

• Help maintain a clean and polished appearance of glassware and dishware on the floor

• Communicate with servers and hosts to manage table turnover smoothly

• Assist with pre-bussing throughout guest dining experience

• Provide friendly and attentive support to all guests and team members

• Work collaboratively with the FOH and BOH teams to ensure timely and efficient service

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout your shift

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and procedures

• Complete all opening, running, and closing side work assignments

• Support management and respond to direction in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

• Help create a positive, team-focused atmosphere for coworkers and guests alike
