School Custodian & Maintenance Technician Full-Time

We are hiring a reliable and responsible School Custodian & Maintenance Technician to join our team at a vibrant and growing educational facility.

This is an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and common areas

- Restock soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other dispensable items

- Conduct light repairs such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, fixing minor leaks, and tightening loose fixtures

- Maintain the exterior of the property including trash pickup, snow/ice removal, and basic landscaping tasks as needed

- Open/close the facility when required and ensure secure locking of all entry points

- Communicate regularly with school leadership to report issues, coordinate repairs, and respond to urgent needs

- Assist with event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, equipment, etc.)

- Ensure custodial closets and supply areas are neat and stocked

- Follow safety guidelines and report any hazardous conditions

Qualifications:

- Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred (schools or similar settings a plus)

- Ability to work independently and take initiative

- Comfortable using basic hand tools and performing light repairs

- Physically able to lift 40+ lbs and perform manual tasks

- Reliable transportation to and from the school

- Strong work ethic and positive attitude

- Spanish/English bilingual a BIG! plus
