Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting all visitors in a kind and courteous manner; aiding new customers with preliminary guidance on accessing services; and assisting existing customers with relevant and current information. This position provides oversight of the career center waiting room and adjacent areas for appropriate utilization (posters, TV presentations); ensures that the waiting room area is a calm and professional space; ensures that information about the career center, current activities, employment opportunities and applicable guidance is up-to-date and displayed in a clear and appropriate way; ensures that equipment in the waiting room and front desk is maintained in good working order; ensures that customers are directed to destinations in an orderly and timely fashion; and understands operational processes to proactively anticipate the programmatic services that job seeker customers need.
Organize and distribute correspondence to Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) participants and record attendance from Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) orientation into the job information system.
Oversee kiosk sign-in stations to ensure that they are used appropriately by job seeking customers. Ensures that the kiosk stations are maintained and operational.
Perform other related duties as required or assigned in a seamless service delivery career center.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to market career center services to customers.
- Requires excellent verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge/experience using Microsoft applications.
Qualifications:
As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
Minimum:
- Must become certified as a Workforce Development Professional (Tier 1), within 12 months of appointment to this position.
- May be required to travel locally and provide own transportation.
Pay: $17,380.00
