VACANCY NOTICE
The availability of this position is contingent upon sufficient funding and enrollment
POSITION: Family Resource Center Receptionist, Branch Street
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Student Services
SUMMARY:
The Receptionist is expected to work independently in the performance of all functions necessary to maintain an efficient and organized office in a professional and confidential manner. General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
Update calendars and schedule meetings
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, translating scanning, and faxing
Assist Enrollment Specialists, LAD, and SPED departments with enrollment and testing processes as needed
Respond to student records requests
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
Proficiency in Google Applications and Infinite Campus SIS
Extensive knowledge regarding the Methuen Public Schools online registration process and requirements
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. Scanners, fax machines and printers)
Professional, customer service attitude
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to handle confidential matters professionally
Demonstrated abilities in self-direction and sound judgment
High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work Hours/Days: 40 hours a week/ 12 month position; Unit D Bargaining Group
SALARY: As per the Unit D Salary Schedule
