As a concierge guide, you will document every interaction, maintain high-quality data, and suggest solutions to students and department leaders. You will receive a high volume of outbound and inbound calls on a dedicated phone line, as well as texts and emails, to enhance the SCAD experience and connect students to various resources or departments. Responsibilities include the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to make deductions from varying facts and circumstances and assistance with appointment scheduling. Among other duties, you will supervise student staff as needed, provide training, and approve time sheets.
In this role, you will provide proactive outreach to students with updates and reminders for important dates and suggestions for success. You will answer all student questions about navigating SCAD and provide information on upcoming events and activities. Additionally, you will contact students to check in on their well-being, offering support if needed. You will participate in extended office hours to meet student needs and attend SCAD signature events on behalf of SCADcares.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication, critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. The candidate demonstrates an extremely positive demeanor with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with at least one year of experience
- Familiarity with computers and phones and ability to learn new software
- Participation in consecutive evening and weekend work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hospitality, customer service, or student-facing experience
- Counseling or conflict resolution experience
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Valid driver's license
Travel Required:
- Less than 10%
Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
