We're looking for passionate Bakers to join our back-of-house team. If you love working with your hands, moving at a pace, and perfecting the same product day after day, this is the place for you.
The Role
As a Baker at Bonrue, you'll be responsible for preparing and producing daily baked goods following standardized recipes and techniques. You'll work side by side with a passionate team to create consistent, high-quality products while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare artisan breads, viennoiseries, and savory items according to Bonrue standards
- Scale, mix, shape, and proof doughs using established formulas
- Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure product quality
- Keep workstations clean, sanitized, and organized at all times
- Label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished goods
- Communicate with the Head Baker on product needs and shift flow
- Maintain pace during high-volume production windows
- Assist with packaging, portioning, or topping items as needed
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols consistently
Who You Are
- Have 12 years of professional baking experience (or culinary training)
- Open availability: must be able to work morning or evening shifts, with flexibility around days off (including weekends and holidays as needed)
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Can follow precise instructions and repeat processes with consistency
- Are detail-oriented and take pride in craftsmanship
- A reliable teammate with strong time management skills
- Hold (or are willing to obtain) a valid Food Handler's Permit
- Can lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
