Job Description

6.5 hour shift

Ideally 8:45 am - 3:15 pm

Qualifications:

Computer Skills in areas essential to operating the kitchen and cafeteria.

Two years of experience in food service or as a cafeteria worker preferred.

Such alternatives to the above qualificaitons as the Board my deem appropriate and acceptable.

Goal: Assist the Cafeteria Manager with day to day operations and in providing students with food of high nutritious quality in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, cheerfulness, warmth, and personal caring. Assist in management and coordination of food service operations and activities of the kitchen. Assure compliance with District, State, and Federal requirements and laws regarding nutrition, sanitation, safety, and record keeping.

Other related duties as assigned.

For this type of employment, a national and state criminal background check is required for all new hires, along with a letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating that there are no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect on record.
