Private Family in Washington, DC Seeking a Housekeeper Position: Full Time Live-Out Housekeeper Schedule: Monday-Friday. Must be available 3 mornings/week at 7:45 AM for school drop-off; the other 2 mornings may start at 9:00 AM. Fridays are half-days. Children: Two children, ages 10 and 13 Home Size: 6,500 sq. ft. residence Pets: One friendly dog Household Staff: No other household staff currently employed Responsibilities Perform full housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized home Family laundry: wash, fold, and put away (including handwashing delicates) Seasonal household tasks (e.g., folding recycling boxes, storing patio cushions) Weekly grocery shopping for family dinners and basic supplies Prepare simple, nutritious family dinners once or twice per week Walk the family dog several times per week Assist with school drop-off 3 mornings/week (schedule may vary) Provide school/activity pickups most days Drive children to local activities Use of family car for transportation duties Ideal Candidate & Personality The ideal candidate is proactive, trustworthy, and highly organized.
