Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs on conveyor, bottling, and packaging systems. This role involves motor changes, troubleshooting and diagnosing faults, changing drives and belts, gearboxes, preventative maintenance, and working on various equipment throughout the facility. Your primary responsibility will be fielding service calls to diagnose and troubleshoot issues such as machine stoppages, changing faulty cylinders, fixing photo eyes, and replacing chains. Responsibilities Field service calls throughout the facility to diagnose and troubleshoot issues. Perform mechanical repairs of conveyor, bottling, and packaging systems. Conduct motor changes and diagnose faults. Change drives, belts, and gearboxes as needed. Perform preventative maintenance during designated cleaning windows. Address common service calls including machine stoppages and equipment malfunctions. Essential Skills Preventive maintenance expertise. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting. Experience with gearboxes, motors, three-phase motors, switches, and conveyor systems. Ability to weld and work with electrical systems. Proficiency in reading schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Open to varying levels of experience, with a preference for industrial maintenance background . Must possess strong mechanical aptitude. Own a basic set of tools. Ability to work one weekend day with flexibility for two days off. Electrical experience is a plus. Experience in food manufacturing maintenance is a plus. Choose between 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am), with an initial 4-6 weeks on 1st shift before transitioning. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Little Rock, Arkansas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
